- Conventional Road Building Systems are based on design concepts that are 60 years old. The PROBLEM with the entire system are the VOIDS in the built-up layers of base and sub base materials. Regardless of how well compacted these materials are, these VOIDS allow water to penetrate from all directions, thus weakening the base. Over time this erosion, coupled with the pressure of traffic loads and freeze-thaw cycles, ensure that THIS SYSTEM WILL FAIL!
- The ICON SuperPave Road Building System allows for one single layer, bonded together with NO VOIDS. There is no water penetration. The SuperPave Base Stabilized road only gets STRONGER WITH TIME!!
- The ICON SuperPave Base Stabilizer offered by ICON-M3 inc. allows roads to be constructed costing up to 80% LESS than the conventional method. Use our system with native material in place, even demolition debris, with standard equipment to create a road that exceeds the highest compaction specifications and CBR requirements.
Below are sample native materials taken from existing roads in South Western, Ontario. These materials were lab tested, mixing them with the ICON SuperPave Base Stabilizer and additional materials such as Portland Cement and even Cement Kiln Dust (CKD) a known pollutant, now neutralized and made safe when combined with ICON Products.
